International firm DAC Beachcroft has acquired a team of lawyers from a rival firm for the second time in less than a year.
The firm has completed the recruitment of two complex injury teams from Clyde & Co to join its claims solutions group in London.
The acquisition includes partners Nigel Adams, John Goodman, David Knapp, Danielle Singer, Michelle Traxler and Tom Walshaw, as well as 21 legal professionals. The move is set to be completed by 1 March.
Last summer, DAC Beachcroft raided fellow insurance specialist DWF with the acquisition of a four-lawyer professional indemnity team and seven-partner casualty claims team in Newcastle.
Managing partner David Pollitt said the firm has acquired a team with a track record of high performance. ‘DAC Beachcroft prides itself on attracting the best available legal talent in its chosen business sectors and jurisdictions and this is no exception,’ he added. ‘The arrival of this team is the latest evidence of our continuing drive to seek investments that help sustain and build on the service we provide to our clients.’
The new arrivals from Clyde & Co offer expertise in the casualty, abuse and catastrophic injury sectors, as well as general insurance work.
The firm’s claims solutions group now operates from 10 locations across the UK and employs around 900 people.
